SightTrax Sports Vision was founded by Jim Tyner, an active trap shooter, longtime supporter of youth clay target shooting and founder of ShotStop, Inc. (Shot-Stop.com), the world’s leading supplier of ballistic fabric for shot curtains used to keep lead shot from leaving gun club property and being deposited in neighboring properties or sensitive habitat. He is also the founder of Prairie Sky Products that creates, manufactures and imports unique and useful consumer items.

Through his support of youth clay target shooting, and talking with team coaches across the country, he became aware of the quandary that they face with trying to obtain reasonably priced, multi-colored lens shooting sports eyewear sets for their young shooters. They expressed concern that the majority of their shooters were wearing safety glasses or cheap, single color shooting glasses, putting them at a disadvantage to shooters able or willing to invest in the more expensive, multi-lens “big-name” glasses.

He decided that he would use his offshore sourcing experience to create a quality eyewear set at an economical price that would not only be suitable for new shooters but would be durable and sufficiently functional as a permanent solution for many competitive and recreational shooters in all the clay target sports.
